Morgan County Woman Faces Animal Cruelty Charges

After getting an animal complaint against a dog boarding business in Hartselle in November of 2017, the Morgan Country Sheriff's office decided to investigate.

They went to Dog House of Alabama at 8Tapscott road owned by 27-year-old Alexandria Holland and found three deceased canines that appeared to have been starved to death.

When Morgan County Animal Control arrived on the scene they took the three remaining dogs. Officers then went to the home of Alexandria they found two Dobermans litterally starving to death. 

They took the male and female and learned they had severe parasite and worm infestation. 

Alexandria Holland faces five counts of Aggravated Cruelty to an Animal and is in the Morgan County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

She was picked up after a traffic stop in Decatur earlier this week where her passenger was arrested on drug charges!

The passenger was identified as Christian Lansdell, who had one outstanding warrant through the City of Decatur for failure to appear for theft in the fourth degree.

Both Holland and Landsell  were taken into custody and transported to the Morgan County Jail.

While at the Morgan County Jail, Lansdell was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Lansdell was additionally charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana in the second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lansdell is in the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $2,100.00 bond.
